Each May, students across the district in grades 2 through 5 take standardized grade level exams which are called the California Standards Test or the CST. These tests are designed to measure how well the students have learned the grade level standards. The results of these exams are a ranking for each school called the API or Academic Performance Index and results are published each August. Our score for the 08/09 year was 899 which showed an improvement from the prior year.
We are committed to giving all of our students the best experience possible in their most formative years and have invested in programs to help each and every one of our students to excel. We are very proud of where we stand, and what we stand for in the academic community. The results and comparisons for all schools can be found at http://api.cde.ca.gov/reports.asp
